From the very beginning, I knew my story would be written in hair. My journey into the beauty industry wasn’t just a career path—it was a calling. Even in high school, I chose hands-on experience over traditional study halls, immersing myself in the salon world by answering phones, shadowing seasoned stylists, and learning from my mentors.
By the time I turned 19, fueled by passion, determination, and faith, I took a bold leap and purchased my first salon. That decision set the stage for everything that followed—years ofgrowth, creativity, and an insatiable drive to make an impact in the beauty industry.
I honed my skills through hair shows, backstage work, and as Iowa’s TIGI ambassador, constantlypushing myself to evolve. My proudest moment came when I owned a thriving Aveda salon in thehistoric Haymarket district of Lincoln, Nebraska. It was within those walls that the idea for ColorCanvas Systems (CCS) took shape.
