SETUP. CARE. STORAGE.

1. PREPARATION
- section client's hair to isolate the first area transformation you'll be working on
- roll your CCS toward the back of the chair so the nape cradle is resting comfortably against your client

2. POSITION
- adjust the height of your canvas and your client's chair until you're both comfortable
- the cradle of your canvas should be at a 45° angle to begin
- the bottom of the canvas should aligh approximately at your hip

3. PAINT
- Regardless of the coloring method you choose (balayage, highlights or foiling) - always begin at a 45° angle
- gradually adjust the pitch of your canvas as you work up the client's hair
- for stability maintain a low-moderate tension on the canvas (adjustable with the knob beneath the canvas)
- when you reach the crown, pitch of the canvas should be at maximum
- keep the canvas at full pitch until you reach the center part area for foiling
- to personalize areas around the face, lower the canvas to a tabletop position to hover over your client's shoulders; place all foils on top of the canvas and work comfortably in front of your guest having to overextend your body

CARE
Do:
- use a microfiber cloth to wipe your canvas
- use a 50/50 spray mixture of white distilled vinegar + water with a microfiber cloth to clean your canvas
- to change a canvas; use your thumb to feel for the space between the mounting plate and the canvas - gently but firmly release the canvas from the plate to separate
Don't
- use alcohol or other harsh chemicals to clean your canvas; these can cloudiness
- use paper towels or tissues as these leave lint behind
- grab the canvas on the far sides and pull up; this can cause unnecessary stress on the center of the canvas and may cause damage

STORAGE
- store the canvas in a cool, dry place
- avoid storing near windows or block from direct sunlight to prevent warping or discoloration
- tilt the canvas to full pitch and tuck wheels under other salon furniture to maximize space
