COMMENT CONFIGURER VOTRE CCS
Position your canvas, work through each section, and care for your setup between services.

1. Prepare your workspace
- Section your client’s hair to isolate the first area you will work on.
- Bring your CCS behind the chair and position the nape cradle comfortably against your client.
- Raise the client’s chair to a comfortable working height. Set the stand before beginning, with the bottom of the canvas approximately at your hip.
2. Begin with horizontal sections
Start with the board at approximately 45°. Continue working in horizontal sections until the natural width of the head increases.
Keep the stand height fixed. As you work up the head, gradually lower the client’s chair and adjust the board’s tilt.

3. Divide wider sections
When a section becomes wider, split it into left and right halves. Work one half at a time, using one foil per half, and adjust the board toward the side you are working.
The 45°, 55°, and 65° references illustrate the progression. At the mohawk, use the steepest working angle appropriate for that client; it is not one fixed angle for everyone.

As you continue
Use the adjustment knob beneath the canvas to maintain low-to-moderate tension for controlled movement. Adjust the pitch as you work toward the crown and center part.
For detail work around the face, lower the canvas toward a tabletop position over the client’s shoulders. Keep the foils supported on the canvas and work from the front of your guest.
Care
- Wipe your canvas with a microfiber cloth.
- Clean with a 50/50 mixture of white distilled vinegar and water.
- Avoid alcohol, harsh chemicals, and abrasive materials. These can cloud, scratch, or damage acrylic.
- Avoid paper towels and tissues, which can leave lint.
- To release the canvas, locate the space between the mounting plate and canvas with your thumb, then gently but firmly separate them. Do not pull up from the far sides.
- Handle acrylic carefully. Do not place hot irons directly on it; even with a heat-resistant mat, avoid resting flat irons on their sides.
Storage
- Store your canvas in a cool, dry place.
- Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from windows to help prevent warping or discoloration.
- Tilt the canvas upright and tuck the wheels beneath salon furniture when storing it to save space.
